Lighthouses are always fascinating me. These navigational buildings along coast lines create a mood of loneliness and strength. There are often located at isolated places and exposed to storm and waves. Lighthouses are built as towers, more or less high, or on top of smaller building. Some are inhabited, others are open to public. From their tops you have a wide view over surrounding water and landscape.
On cruises and vacations along coast lines during the last years I came by a lot of them. The ones shown in this month' gallery are located in Norway, Sweden, Gibraltar, Canada and USA.
